The Oh Sees have been a lot of things over their music career. For starters, they’ve also been the OCS, Thee Oh Sees, The Ohsees, and The Oh Sees, and they’ve played everything from lo-fi garage rock and pysch to proto-metal and prog. Jon Dwyer, living argument for strapping your guitar as high as possible, has always been the one constant since 2003 (well, him and a blistering, punishing live show), and now they’re releasing a retrospective box-set that will have the rock n’ roll kids scrambling for an 8-track player on eBay,
Dwyer and company are set to release a super-limited 12-album box set on 8-track tapes. The band manufactured 100 sets, and only 60 of them will go on sale (the rest go to the group and everyone who worked on this behemoth of a box set).
