Pentagram’s DJ Stout designed the identity and packaging for American Weed Co., a cannabis brand targeting retired and decommissioned military personnel. Led by former Senior Officer Sean Gilfillan, the brand draws inspiration from military history, gear, and symbols. The design team collaborated with illustrator Mike Tabie to develop memorable symbols for each cannabis strain. The result is a packaging system rooted in Americana while cherishing a sense of humor and wit.

Pentagram Austin designed the identity and packaging system for a new cannabis brand called the American Weed Company (American Weed Co.). The veteran owned brand caters to a U.S. military audience, specifically retired and newly decommissioned military personnel, who have an affinity for their service and embrace their identity as veterans. The unique company is the brainchild of President Sean Gilfillan, a former Senior Officer in the U.S. Army, who was awarded a Bronze Star for his 15-month tour in Iraq as well as his part of the initial occupying force in Baghdad.
