Before & After: APU

Published

APU is a cement company in Perú and one of the most important in all of Latin America. Wanting to create a new identity with the emphasis on the root meaning of APU, Brandlab created blocks and patterns that provided unique shapes that are reminiscent of mountains and gave the brand a fresh and modern identity. The color scheme for APU is both bold and modern with bright yellow shapes giving the brand hierarchy. I really sense that creating a strong story behind the brand really created a beautiful package that is showcased exquisitely in this re-design. Who ever said re-designing cement packaging wasn’t fun?

“APU is a Quechua word which has two meanings: one is mountain and the other one is god. This meanings relay on the the fact that in the Inca culture the mountains were sacred and were considered guardians of the communities.”
