Coors Light To Phase Out Plastic Rings Globally By 2025

Coors Light may have been blessed recently, but that isn’t the only divine move the brand has made lately. Parent company Molson Coors has announced it is eliminating plastic rings from all Coors Light six-packs in markets where it owns brewing operations globally. Additionally, Molson Coors says it will eliminate plastic rings from its entire portfolio in the Americas by 2025.

The phasing out of these six-pack rings is made possible by an $85 million investment in upgraded machinery. Molson Coors will transition to recyclable and sustainably-sourced cardboard carriers by late 2022. By 2025, Molson Coors estimates that it will eliminate 1.7 million pounds of plastic across 30 brands.
