I cam across this interesting example of wood packaging. This is a gift bag/box for Booji Tea House & Spa, which won the Editor’s Choice Create Award in 2007. The box features laser cut abstract ‘leaves’. It was designed by Charles Wang, a student at California State University – Fullerton. I don’t know if this box was actually produced, but it would seem to be a bit impractical to make something like this due to high labor costs to put this together and the thin wood handles don’t appear very strong. I’m curious to know if it was actually produced and how it was sold/used.
