Brightly Colored Paper is the Secret Ingredient to Klar Coffee’s Punchy Look

Ceren Burcu Turkan’s branding for Klar Coffee would look low-key and unassuming if it were just the box: a nondescript white square with the brand’s name carefully cut into the paper stock. But just add a slip of brightly colored paper, and all of a sudden, this clever design comes alive with a punchy hue and the name of the country each coffee comes from. The uniform look of the inserts is consistent and well-organized to almost have a bureaucratic look to it— but, of course, way more fun.

My task was to develop a packaging design that not only aligned with the brand’s aesthetic but also commanded attention on the shelves of coffee shops.
