If the Royal Family does anything, it royally annoys me.
I do understand how people can get sucked into the drama, the magnetism, the influence. However, the idea that anyone living in a world with electricity and GrubHub can be anointed king or queen baffles me—not to mention the elitism, inequality, unbridled privilege, and shameful history of colonial rule. I don’t follow the family closely, but I am on TikTok, and the recent Kate Middleton “disappearance” and its related conspiracy theories are mind-bogglingly fascinating. My algorithm has deeply sucked me in.
And if Kate Middleton’s absence wasn’t too much for the internet to handle, Kate’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, dropped her new lifestyle brand, which “reflects everything she loves.” The timing? Highly suspicious.
