Scara Rum Looks To Ancient Egypt For Inspiration

Published

The Scarab is a beetle that is regarded as sacred in ancient Egypt. Inspired by this concept, Scara Rum created a bottle that focuses on the majesty of the beetle’s silhouette. Designed by HUMAN, the glass bottle is contemporary, but the deeply rooted historical elements add a sense of tradition and culture.

Our concept is rooted in the idea of rebirth and restoration, as symbolized by the scarab. This powerful symbol embodies the renewal of the mind and spirit. Our label design reflects this idea, utilizing a vertical layout that enhances the bottle silhouette and draws the eye to the intricately detailed scarab. We wanted to create a focal point that was instantly distinguishable, a minimalist design that was both unique and captivating. Using structural embossing and complex embellishments, we crafted a label that captures the essence of our rum-making process – a journey of transformation and metamorphosis.
