When the design agency that creates your packaging design is called “Dude,” it’s almost expected that the result will be something worth talking about. Dude’s design for Quartin wine is nothing short of just that.
Wine is often known for being uncorked, but Quartin’s canned wine transforms those outdated standards. Ditching tradition, this canned wine is filled with personality that packs a punch, unafraid of standing out and changing the norm. These cans will inspire even the most traditional Italians to pop the aluminum tab instead of the cork through gorgeous illustrations, muted color hues, and screen-printed designs.
Wine must be uncorked, oxygenated, and its aroma and fruity notes must be perceived. White wine should be held by the stem, red wine by the cup, glasses are not to be touched when toasting, and we are all sommeliers when the waiter says “who’s tasting?”. It is in a world of rules, obligations, and prejudices that Quartin was born: an incongruous wine. In a strict tradition of glass and corks, a wine in a can, in Italy, is considered sacrilegious.
