Uoga Uoga Kids Recreates the Mr. Potato Head Experience by Turning Bath Products Into Toys

Published

It’s a childhood rite of passage to hate baths, though of course, we all have to learn to take them eventually. While bath toys have been a longtime helper in getting kids a little more comfortable with taking the plunge, organic beauty company Uoga Uoga took the natural next step by turning their kids’ bath products into actual toys.

Andstudio helped Uoga Uoga Kids anthropomorphize soaps, shampoos, and lotions by giving them adorable faces kids can decorate with reusable stickers. Fitting the brand’s dedication to sustainability, the bottles and stickers are both made of recycled materials and are fully recyclable, making the experience good, clean fun in more ways than one. The purple sans serif packaging is stylish and simple enough that adults will probably like it too (and, let’s be real, probably won’t be able to help themselves from playing with them).

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Uoga Uoga Kids, an extension of the Uoga Uoga brand, offers playful, organic products crafted with natural ingredients to simplify life for mischievous little ones who often prefer playtime over bath time.

CLIENT NEEDS

Recognizing that children often find their bath time unpleasant, leading to resistance and negative associations, the client wanted to transform that experience into one perceived as a fun playtime and a cherished ritual through their products.

DESIGN VALUE

Turning bath time into a kid’s playground, we designed the client’s products as playful toys. These new friends, called Uogiai (inspired by the brand name), become exclusive bathroom buddies waiting for bath time adventures. Vibrant purple characters, with their friendly big eyes, instantly capture children’s attention and invite them to play. To add another layer of fun, each package includes a unique sticker booklet. So that kids can personalize their Uogiai or create a whole collection, making bath time an exciting and engaging experience.

The bottles, made from recycled plastic, can be recycled again. The stickers are also made from recycled material and can be reused multiple times.
