For 20 years, Canada’s Arts & Crafts has been one of the biggest names in indie, with a strong roster of artists that includes Broken Social Scene, Feist, Jacques Greene, and many more. Doublenaut recently helped the label celebrate its anniversary with a retrofuturist redesign that gives their wares a classic look with plenty of modern polish.
While we could easily envision this duochrome palette and bubbly font popping up on records from the ‘70s, it’s hard to imagine this warm, thoughtful redesign feeling old. As famous beverage lovers, it should come as no surprise that we’re especially into the special anniversary beer can, whose dynamic graphics almost feel like an artsy, abstract take on putting an LP on a turntable.
